When people normally talk about investmensts they talk about money. But at the end of the day it´s about people who want to invest money and people who want to grow their business. So it´s about identifying and managing expectations, culture and communication.
What I learned in my career as a marketing and business development consultant as well as a corporate film producer all over the globe, is that the most important thing is the ability to listen carefully and to understand different cultures and codes. This goes hand in hand with the abillity to establish trust and identity within a very short time span.
1.) From an investee viewpoint: Can you explain why your business exists and what the world would miss, if you went out of business?
2.) Isn't it often the case that you as an investor reach a dead end with an investee desipte the fact that the numbers are promising? Reasons behind: often entrepreneurs don't translate their business proposal easily into an investment proposal. This might be due to a cultural gap or simply because they are experts in their field but not experts in talking to the investment community.
3.) Let's assume you even crossed this hurdle. Still you will need to find common ground in builing up trust through a meaningful and transparent communication. This is where my core expertise will help you.
